Hi my name is Felicia Wong. My comment is totally unrelated to this video, but I wanted to post a comment so I chose the latest entry. I would like to know if Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia actually has a wing for the youth?

I suppose if there is actually a special youth wing that actively organizes programmes such as sports, educational speeches, debates on national issues, etc, it will achieve its goal of uniting all races in malaysia. It is almost like any other "persatuan-persatuan" that you joined back in secondary school.

In my opinion, it's best to start young, and WITHIN the coalition itself. If you have a strong, multi-racial team, this alone is proof that the party can lead a multi-racial country! Actions speak louder than words. You can shout to the world that you are representing a multi-racial party until you are blue in the face, but no one will believe you until it's proven otherwise.

A youth wing can be where you want to focus on training the members to be REAL LEADERS. The younger generation, after all, is the future leader of the country.

The youth wing can also be a "supplier" of volunteers during elections. I'm sure the party can perform better with many youths giving a hand.

These are just suggestions. i wonder what does the pakatan think of my idea?

Sorry I need to clarify something.. by saying "It is almost like any other 'persatuan-persatuan' that you joined back in secondary school", I meant that the structure can be the clubs we joined back in secondary school, whereby there are activities for the members every week.

Felicia , i believes Zaid is preparing the PR structure plan.
Incorporated into the blueprint/plan will have the PR constituency wings.

I do think that it is more of a social grouping for local communities to bring up issues/welfare/ "gotong royong".
It is important to have PR wings to bring the rakyat closer to each another.
One might be from pas, dap , pkr and non aligned PR supporter
Both we dont know each another although we from the same district!
Having such wings will be good for networking,feedbacks,common grounds, sense of being a Malaysian , collective decision to local authorities and many more.

But first, PR must register "Pakatan Rakyat" as a legitimate alliance.

My name is Luqman Michel and my comment is also not related to this video.I hope you can look into this problem faced by Sabahans. Sabah is getting to be too expensive to buy a house because of unethical practice by housing developers.

On 16.7.2010 I spoke with one of the Housing agents for Oscar Dream Sdn. Bhd (624444-P).
The name of the housing agent is Mary of Marico Realty at Asia City Kota Kinabalu.
I requested for a Bumi lot at the original price. The agent said that there are 8 units left unsold and that I may choose any one of them as a Bumi Lot.

On 17.7.2010 I visited the developers office Oscar Dream Sdn. Bhd. located at Lot 3A-1, Block A, Bundusan Commercial Centre , Jalan Bundusan, Penampang . The housing estate they have constructed the houses on is called Landmark 2 on Jalan Bundusan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu. I was told by the officer present that there were 7 units left but none of them are Bumi lots.
I requested for any other unit at the approved selling price. He then replied that these houses have been sold and he is selling on behalf of the original buyers. He gave me a list which shows 7 units as being unsold.
The lots unsold are Lot 18, Lot 19, Lot 21, Lot 22, Lot 33, and Lot 144 at RM788,000. Lot 39 is priced at Rm868,000.

When I asked him as to how he can sell these units at a much higher price than that approved by the Local Housing authorities he replied that these houses have been sold and he is selling on behalf of the original buyers.

There is no clear indication on the price list provided by the developer as to which houses were intended for Bumiputras.

From what I understand, a housing developer cannot increase the price without written approval from the Local Government.
30% must be reserved for Bumiputras and may be sold to non Bumis only upon written approval by the Local Government.

This appears to be an unethical practice for developers to go around regulations and laws set up by the Government to protect
house buyers. I believe that it is not only unethical but also illegal.

Questions that I would like to ask are :

* Why was I informed by the housing agent that there is one Bumi lot available on 16.7.2010 in the evening and at 10am on 17.7.2010 when I visited the developer I was told that none was available?
* Why is the developer allowed to increase the price when in actual fact the Local Government is supposed to prevents this from happening?
* Who is protecting Bumiputra buyers from unscrupulous housing developers?
* Why is a housing developer selling houses on behalf of his buyers? Why is this allowed? Would this not make policing activities of housing developers difficult?
* Who has the authority to check documents of original buyers to ensure that they are actually eligible buyers of units reserved for Bumiputras?

If developers are allowed to act according to their whims and fancies how are buyers going to be protected from unethical practices such as this?

If developers are allowed to sell on behalf of so called "purchasers" how can the laws enacted to protect house buyers be enforced effectively?

I hope this matter will be investigated thoroughly.
