PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim claimed that the medical report leaked on Monday confirmed that the sodomy allegations against him were baseless and were politically-motivated.
He urged the police to stop their investigation and to send the medical report to the Attorney-General’s Chambers and classify the case under “no further action.”
The medical report from Hospital Pusrawi, signed by Dr Mohamed Osman Abdul Hamid at 2.14pm on June 28, was leaked on the Internet on Monday.
The report said that there was no medical indication that Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, Anwar’s 23-year-old former aide, had been sodomised.
In the report, Dr Mohamed Osman had also recommended that Mohd Saiful go to a government hospital for further check-up.
In KUALA LUMPUR, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said that the case won't be dropped based just on the medical report.
"This is just one aspect of the investigation. The police are piecing together evidence, let them do their job and complete their investigation," he said.
"As it is, they haven't charged Anwar with anything yet," he noted.
Raja Petra Kamaruddin, editor of news portal Malaysia Today which first carried the medical report, also claimed that Dr Mohamed Osman had gone into hiding because the police wanted him to change his medical report to implicate Anwar.
The police have denied that allegation.
“We interviewed the doctor in the early stages of our investigations following the police report lodged by Mohd Saiful,” said Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.
“But we did not arrest the doctor or detain him for three days as alleged by the Malaysia Today report. We don’t have any plans to do so either,” he said.
In GOPENG, (PKR) vice-president Dr Lee Boon Chye went one step further and said the police should act against Mohd Saiful for lodging a false police report against Anwar.
Speaking at the opening of the Gopeng PKR service centre here on Tuesday morning, the Gopeng MP said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan should stop all investigations into the sodomy claim against the Opposition de facto leader.
Based on the medical report, "Saiful should be arrested for lodging a false report against Anwar and the IGP should also stop all investigations into the claim," Dr Lee added.

Whatever happens, the raakyat is and should be with DSAI after reviewing the first case in 1998.
Those involved in 1998, is now worried that DSAI will go on a rampage and after them. I foresee them fleeing the country like how Marcos and his cronies did when his government fell.
Is AG sueing? Why not now and what is he waiting for, since IGP have started the ball rolling.
DSAI will win Kulim hands down as a martyr if he his detained and jailed this time around. The option is in his hands and better still if the dog (EMN) with six shoe boxes stand against him.
Knowing what our government stand for, the persistant fabrication of evidence such as doctering Police Reports and how the man in blue work, there is no relevance in which Medical Report is genuine. (RM50.00 will enable a sargent to help you write a very good report and even help you alter it so that you get round what you are reported against.)
So my dear fellow malaysians, whatever race you are, the question is:-
1. Do you want to be part of history?
2. Do you want to play a part in toppling this Corrupt Government of ours?
3. Do you want to join our Asean brothers who have already toppled their corrupt and useless government?
4. Do you want to let our corrupt and useless government and politicians continue sodomising you?
5. Do you know besides the petrol increases, there are other areas we are robbed of our hard earned money in the name of Privatisation.
6. Do you or have you been deprived of a decent job in the name of M&A.
7. Do you know many suffering Malaysians, have been robbed on their job and families broken as a result of Bolehland big grandoise plans and life style set backwards 30 years.
8. Do you know if you are given the same privilege as the 1st Mamakk family, you can also be a billionaire and not resort to commit suicide when the financial crisis sets in in 1997.
And many more questions that we can start asking and only you will know the answers.
Lets show it via the ballot boxes starting with Kulim.
Go for a change and hope for the better.
The system needs a complete overhaul and the beauty of it is we decide who runs our lives and not the Politicians.
Once again, my dear malaysian brothers, please be bold enough to go for a change and see to it that justice is done. Do not adopt a "tidak apa dah biasa and nothing we can do" attitude.

Yes ! Sdr Anwar Ibrahim has failed to learn his painful lesson in 1st sodomy case against him in 1998. He had forgotten the evil motifs of his opponents outside and within his PKR party.
He had failed to check and vefiry the backgrounds of his past two aides, namely Mohamad Saiful Bukhari Azlan and Ezam Mohd Nor. The two traitors of PKR members are “Duri Dalam Daging ” who acted as opposition agents to destroy his political career.
As Chinese saying, it is better to face the outside ghost that you know then facing the insider devil, the worst enemies are insider devils.
Sdr Anwar was carried away by Pakatan Rakyat berjaya but kurang bijak to reveal his strategies and political plans earlier to take over BN in Sept 2008. Thus, he failed to know his own weaknesses that such revealation can caused him framed up into a messy repeated sodomy conspiracy today. Now Sdr Anwar was in deep shit worried about the coming charges on him and also his pening lalat to manage the Pakatan Rakyat when PAS leaders become a “Heart of Greed” for power offered by UMNO. The PAS-UMNO talks have caused severed damaged to PAS party where the non Muslim felt betrayed by PAS MPs who won with their votes.
Next time…Rakyat sumpah and take oath to reject PAS-UMNO macam cat and goat married for power greed and say “NO VOTE TO UMNO-PAS parties”.
Sdr Anwar has fallen into his own racist traps he created in the past in BN and the same weapons are used by his Oppositions today to destroy his political career forever. Malays saying ” Buat jahat terkena badan sendiri tak lama lagi”
Last advice to Sdr Anwar Ibrahim, many non-Malays and Bumiputras from Sabah and Sawarak will never ever forget his sinful acts in his past leadership UMNO until Tun Che Det had eliminated him for 6 years in prison on corruptions and bad krama. Rakyat wonder that will Sdr Anwar is willing to change his mind and words for all Malaysians regardless of race, religion, creed, cultures etc.
GOD said ” IT IS CAUSES AND EFFECTS SYNDROME ” to remind human mankind to behave good for others in return of good faith will be with you. Sdr Anwar past bad faiths in his racist agenda in UMNO in return he got six years in jail to repay his sinful words.
Rakyat prayed Sdr Anwar to win the by-election in his own strong state in Penang. He first must think and speak for Malaysians and uphold Bangsa Malaysia with a good hearted on good karma.
