KUALA LUMPUR:
The so-called September 16 crossover by BN members of Parliament into the Opposition may not happen now that the coalition party is addressing the issues facing Sabah and Sarawak, DAP national chairman Karpal Singh said yesterday.
"The BN is doing whatever they have to in order to keep them and we are being held to ransom," Karpal told reporters after the launch of lawyer T. Vijayandran's book, No Intention To Kill, here.
The book is based on the case of Indonesian maid Herlina Trisnawati, who in 2001 was accused of murdering her employer.
Karpal, however, said crossovers should not be accepted into Pakatan Rakyat as the defecting MPs were traitors to their party and betrayers of voters' trust.
