KUALA LUMPUR (June 13, 2008): Some 1,500 people took part in a scheduled fuel hike protest march after Friday prayers today but failed to make it to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre due to a tight police cordon.
Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) personnel stand guard at Jalan Raja Laut, to ensure the fuel hike protestors did not turn unruly. The crowd dispersed without any incident. No arrests were made.
