I have believed that PR was a truely democratic based coalition which subscribed to the principles that BERSIH has been fitting for.Accordingly, I voted for PR and lobbied for relatives & friends to do the same.It was a dream come true when the March 8 results turned out the way it did. But now after listening to what the defacto leader of PR is saying and trying to achieve by enticing the East Malaysia BN component parties into PR, I fill disgusted and dissillusioned. Where is Anwar's integrity? Is he the same person he was when as an UMNOputra, he supported all of Mahathir's corrupt ways involving ISA, crony contracts and even the judiciary in 1988 until the time he was aspiring to push aside mahathir. The people had voted for the party and the reps that represent the party in each constituency. As such, the mere moving of reps to another party is against the evry spirit of the Democracy that Bersih has been fighting for. I am more convinced now that anwar is indeed a man in a hurry to be pm, no more no less. PR is a vehicle to achieve his objective. Can one imagine what Malaysia will be like if anwar turns out to be another mahathir? Can we withstand another 20 odd yrs similar to mahathir's? Looks like we have DAP as the only party to take refuge in.
