
"If there is a Chinese graduate from Al-Azhar, I am willing (to hand over my post as Menteri Besar),” he said at a ceramah organised by the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat government, here, last night.
At the same function, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the success of the Pakatan Rakyat in governing five states after the recent general election showed that a paradigm shift had occurred among the people in the country.
This was proven when the Chinese and Indian communities voted for PAS candidates while PAS supporters also voted for the DAP and Party Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidates.
"We succeeded in breaking the wall separating the communities which Umno had failed to do,” he said
