Perak Pakatan to file suit in KL - Star

Feb 11, 2009 By SYLVIA LOOI

IPOH: Perak Pakatan Rakyat will file a legal suit to challenge the validity of Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir as Mentri Besar in Kuala Lumpur Thursday.

State DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming said Pakatan was worried about the impartiality of High Court judges in Ipoh if the case were to be filed here.

“All documents related to the suit is ready,” he said on Wednesday.

Pakatan is seeking a declaration that the swearing-in of Dr Zambry as mentri besar was illegal and wrong in the eyes of the law.

Under the Perak Constitution, unless there is a vote of no confidence against Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin in the state assembly, he would still be considered the mentri besar, Nga said.

He argued that any government formed without the approval of the assembly would be considered illegal.

Nga, who is also Pantai Remis assemblyman, also claimed that in this case, any agreements signed by the Barisan Nasional state government might be considered illegal as well.

Malaysians have suffered enough is enough because they need to waste more time going to vote again. The general election PRU 12 was over more than a year, yet todate we read and see both parties BN and Pakatan Rakyat are still fighting and arguing over their differences. Malaysians feel shameful and disgrace to know the legitimate state government in Perak was robbed by three tainted cum greedy politicians who defected and betrayed their voters. Who is the Master Pirate / Lanun of Malaysia today ?

The global financial crisis has caused severe recessions in many countries, yet the waiting PM has yet to address the importance of tackling the recession tsunami is going to hit Malaysia. Many factories and companies are closing and retrenching their employees but the federal govt has yet to announce any concrete economy stimulus plans to help the workers and employers. It is indeed sad to know that the politicians are still playing sandiwara politic and grabbing power when the people on the streets are crying for jobs.

Unfortunately, Malaysians are facing the forthcoming two by-elections in Perak and Kedah. Why the Election Commission rejected the by-election of three resigned politicians in Perak? It is good for EC to announce 5 by-elections on Friday in order to allow the voters to elect their new representatives again. Otherwise, the people and voters are denied from services from the three tainted politicians who defected for personal gains and interests rather than serving the people.

Well, Perakians deserve to demand their rights to vote again and to restore democracy system in Malaysia based on two facts below:-

(a) Perakians support the Perak Ruler decision but regret his decision based on wrong advice to reject his subjects plead for a democratic snap election in Perak.

(b) What happen to the rules of Rukun Negara and the laws of Federal Constitutions if the people lost trust on their elected politicians who betrayed them?
