Penang Chief Minister and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng read out a joint statement by PKR leadership council to endorse Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Permatang Pauh candidate. The council has also agreed to propose Anwar as PKR leader if he wins the by election.
