Don’t come down so hard on MPs - The Star

April 23,2008 by Bulbir Singh, Seremban

I REFER to “Your questions” (Sunday Star, April 20). Aren’t we coming down a bit too hard too soon on these MPs?

Not that I condone their tardiness, but I think we should give them some time to tidy things up. Attacking them at this stage isn’t correct.

Also not every MP needs to ask a question, as there are other ways to make a probe. One may even raise a query at the august House based on another MP's question.

I hope our new MPs pick up the tricks of the trade and learn how to ask meaningful questions, and not ask a question for the sake of asking.

Asking questions is an art, and can be acquired.
