Gerakan vice-president Datuk Chang Ko Youn described the party's former deputy secretary general Datuk Lee Kah Choon's acceptance of two posts in the Pakatan Rakyat controlled Penang was to enhance his political career.
"Lee did not get what he wanted from Gerakan and him joining the opposition ruled state government is a political gimmick and not in the interests of the Penang people ."
Chang who is also Perak Gerakan chairman also said that party leaders were upset by Lee’s actions.
"What would people say and what image would I project if I were to accept a post offered by the Pakatan Rakyat Perak government," he told reporters when asked to comment on Lee's decision to accept the posts.
